Coach Troy Turman is in his 13th season as coach and 2nd season as head varsity basketball coach at Florala High School. Coach Turman has had coaching stints at Red Level High School, Daleville High School, and Pleasant Home High School. Under his guidance, Turman's team have achieved three Elite Eights, two Sweet Sixteens, five Area Championships, and four Area Runner-Ups while making the playoffs nine out of eleven seasons at the varsity level.  Turman's 2012-2013 Daleville Warhawk team set a school record for most wins in a season with 28.  His 2016-17 Pleasant Home team reached the school's first Elite Eight in 14 years winning 17 consecutive games and advancing to the Regional Finals in Dothan, AL.  Most recently, the Wildcats won their first area championship in twelve years reaching the sweet sixteen Southeast Regional Tournament in Montgomery, AL.  Turman has an overall record of 200 wins and 117 losses as varsity head coach.

Troy and his wife, Carie, have been married for 12 years. The Turman’s have three beautiful children: nine-year-old Betsy, six-year-old old Benjamin, and five-year-old Brock. The Turmans attend Church at Cedar Grove Church of Christ in Andalusia, AL.

Coach Coleman finished his second season as assistant basketball coach at Florala High School and overall fourth season as assistant coach on Coach Turman's staff.  As a 2003 graduate of Pleasant Home High School, Coleman starred as an All-State football and basketball athlete.  Coleman recieved Class 1A All-State recognition his sophomore, junior, and senior season.  As a member of Pleasant Home's back-to-back Class 1A state championship teams in 2001 and 2002, Coleman set numerous school records that still stand today.  Coach Coleman is a vital contributor to the Florala Boys Basketball Program.

Coach Coleman is happily married to Mrs. Sharika Coleman and they live in Florala, AL with their two daughters, Diamond and Sharae.  Sharae is an upcoming Junior on the Florala varsity girls basketball team. 

Coach Zessin is a 2012 Graduate of Laurel Hill High School.  At Laurel Hill, he was all area basketball and baseball his junior and senior year. A 2017 Graduate of Troy University with a degree in Physical Education, Coach Zessin teaches PK - 6 Physical Education at WS Harlan Elementary School. Recently in 2020, Coach Zessin graduated from West Alabama with a Masters in Physical Education.  He is in his 2nd year as assistant basketball coach, 2nd year Head Baseball coach, and 3rd year WSH youth basketball director.
