"Math is a many splendored thing"... Alright, so maybe I misquoted that. Mathematics is a science that is becoming more and more important with an ever increasing technological society. Many occupations are now requiring mathematical skills ranging from simple arithmetic to advanced calculus. Here at Florala High School we want our students to be prepared for such a challenge. Every student is required to complete Algebra 1 and Geometry. The advanced diploma students are required to complete a year of Pre Calculus, as well. The objective of FHS is for our students to go into the "real-world" prepared to problem solve, think logically, and leave with an appreciation (if not an affection) for math. With much studying, note taking, discussion, hands-on activities, and a little fun we hope to meet that objective.---

"Can you do addition?" the White Queen asked. "What's one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one and one?" "I don't know," said Alice. "I lost count."
